Students arrive and greet their friends and teachers. Every Wednesday is “professional day” where students’ tasks are more formal than their daily routine.

Grade K-5 scholars engage in up to 3 hours of daily literacy instruction and 6-12 scholars engage in up to 2. The MyView literacy program is a systematic approach to the teaching of phonics and reading comprehension. We use MyPerspectives in the upper grades.
Debate is alive and well as the student’s dive into the Toulmin Writing Model. This model, utilized in elite private schools, teaches students to make a claim, define and support the claim with evidence and finally consider and engage with possible counter-claims.
In the lower grades, scholars explore color and shade as they learn to express themselves through visual media. Our older art students go deeper, stage gallery openings, and illustrate and self-publish their own comic books.
STEM education is a core part of our learning model. We devote more than double the amount of time to science than traditional public schools in the country and all scholars, grades K-9, get 2 periods of math daily. K-8 Scholars get a special Computer Science and Design Thinking class weekly, and grade 10 scholars do a full course.
Advanced Placement (AP) Programs expose students to rigorous, college-level course material while in high school. All high school scholars should enroll in at least 3 AP courses before graduating.
After the school day ends, special programs kick in, including music, athletics, special tutoring sessions, and more help our scholars become well-rounded individuals.
Sports participation can develop scholars in multiple ways, increasing their readiness to attend and succeed in college. Students are encouraged to build character by learning the importance of focus, discipline, and teamwork.
