Students arrive and greet their friends and teachers. Every Wednesday is “professional day” where students’ tasks are more formal than their daily routine.

Debate is alive and well as the student’s dive into the Toulmin Writing Model. This model, utilized in elite private schools, teaches students to make a claim, define and support the claim with evidence and finally consider and engage with possible counter-claims.

Toulmin Writing Model : Grades 6-11

Focus and detail is key as our budding chemists research, collect, and analyze data in the chemistry lab.

Chemistry : Grades 3-11
OUR SCHOOL DAY

Each day students focus on literacy by reading a variety of material from poetry to Shakespeare. They couple this with a total of 2.5 hours of daily reading instruction.

Independent Reading : Grades K-8

Bienvenido a clase de EspaƱol! Scholars begin learning languages as early as Kindergarten. After 5th grade, students can also choose to learn Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, French and German.

Language Class : Grades K-11

Debate is alive and well in this social studies discussion as preparation for an upcoming Advanced Placement (AP) test is underway. AP Programs expose students to rigorous, college-level course material while in high school.

Music fills our corridors as band practice begins. Music is just one of the several after-school programs CAPS offers its scholars to help them become well-rounded individuals.

After School Programs : Grades 3-11
OUR SCHOOL DAY

Time to move our bodies! CAPS uses sports to increase the level of students’ preparedness to attend and succeed in college. Students are encouraged to build character by learning the importance of focus, discipline and teamwork.

Atheletics : Grades 6-12

Our scholars are preparing to both attend and graduate from a 4 year college from the day they step foot onto our campus. Our commitment is to get our scholars thru high school & thru college.
